I’m Sue Ballard, a British artist and designer with a lifelong love of art, interiors, colour and pattern.

My creative career began in textile design and grew through interiors, homewares, surface pattern and licensing. Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of creative projects, developing artwork and designs for products, interiors and lifestyle collections.

Alongside my work in design, I’ve always been drawn to the past — particularly historic houses, their gardens and the stories held within them.

​

I love getting lost in an historic house; wandering through gardens, discovering doorways and arches that lead somewhere unexpected, finding an old library or a room filled with books, paintings and objects that tell stories of those who were there before.

​

That sense of history, discovery and beauty is a constant source of inspiration.

​

And when I’m back home, my golden retriever Wilbur is my constant companion.
